Medicaps
Developing bio resorbable polymer based microcapsules capable of delivering drugs directly to cancer cells at a sustained and controlled rate offers improved efficacy and lower toxicity for cancer treatment.
Rather than injecting chemotherapies we insert locally slow release capsules directly in tumors. Physical encapsulation solutions allows the encapsulation of all types of molecules and in particular drugs.
Our microcapsules are capable of carrying pure doses of chemotherapeutic agents in cancerous tumors while sparing healthy cells away from the tumors.
The Medicaps project was born from the desire of two researchers to transfer their research into novel medical treatments for cancer.
Currently academic, the project is intended to become a capsule manufacturing company in order to provide care to as many people as possible.
Our future company’s objective is to provide quality capsules but also to pursue its research efforts in order to improve and increase the therapeutic care in oncology.
